BAINES RIVER CAMP

LOWER ZAMBEZI, ZAMBIA

Our Take

Ok, we may be a bit biased, but a number of us have caught personal bests in this neck of the woods, not something you forget – and for us it’s one of the most astounding places we have ever thrown a line. Even if you don’t catch fish, which is a rarity here, the magnificent wildlife in and around the river, up close, is one of the world’s great experiences. Baines Camp itself, perched on the edge of a broad expanse of water, with a distant view to Mana Pools in Zimbabwe, is one of the most comfortable on the entire river. A well balanced mix of casual bush elegance and attentive but not overbearing service, make it perfect for an uncomplicated safari and well guided fishing holiday.
