Our Take

One of our favourite fishing lodges anywhere. An amazing blend of style and bush chic, without having to worry about dropping your fishing bag in the lounge. The pool bar, on a deck under a magnificent evergreen tree overlooking the river, we have found dangerously inviting. But then you’re also in one of the most prolific game areas on earth and can sip a cold Mozi Lager while watching animals from your bar stool to your hearts delight. Why move? Oh yes, for the fishing. Being only a short boat ride (or vehicle) away from the Lower Zambezi National Park is really a bonus. Tigers of over 20 pounds are around and it’s not uncommon to watch double digit fish swim off, after the photo. Vundu (type of Catfish) of up to 100 pounds can be targeted with good results. There are a number of bream species and they can provide hours of fun on fly and light spinning gear. In short, you’re fishing in rich waters surrounded by rich flora and fauna with guides who grew up here. If its 5- star luxury and fishing you’re after, look no further.
