baines river camp

Very few fishing destinations come close to the beauty and splendor of the lower Zambezi. Imagine drifting down one of the most iconic rivers in the world, Elephants wading through the water and lions basking on sand banks, all while a trophy Tigerfish is leaping out the river on the end of your line.

Baines River Camp, located in Zambia along the banks of the Zambezi River, offers visitors a chance to explore one of Africa’s last remaining true wilderness areas.

From the lodge, anglers board spacious aluminum boats at sunrise and set out to hunt for the denizens of the Zambezi River. The boats and guides are fully equipped for bait, lure, and fly fishing, while offering a safe platform to target monster Tigerfish. The water is occupied by hippos and crocodiles, so the safety of the anglers is the number one priority.

The accommodation at Baines’ is not just a roof over your head, it is an experience in itself. The exquisite suites and tasteful main area have been built to feature as highlight of your stay. This is where you come to relax and unwind after a day of adventure.

The Baines Of My Life

Once a year we drag our wives, kicking and screaming from the comfort of their kitchens, on a film shoot to an exotic and luxurious destination like Seychelles or the islands of Mozambique.
